Wedding Bands
Wedding Bands
‘Love one another as I have loved you.’
Design Description:
Two gold rings linked together on a red background symbolise the power of covenant love. Wedding bands are one of the enduring symbols of covenant left in our 21st century society. They represent one of the highest forms of covenantal commitment and passion. They speak of two individuals committed to loving one another with a love that endures trials and stands the test of time. God’s faithfulness is demonstrated in the covenant He made with Israel and the new covenant He made with His saints. The Bible speaks of the holiness of the covenant of marriage, describing two people becoming "no longer two but one flesh". Jesus said, "what God has joined together, let no man separate” (Matthew 19:6)."
Name of the LORD: Bible Verses: God’s love was so great for us that He gave us His only Son (John 3:16). Our love for one another is proof we are Jesus’ disciples (John 13:35) as we walk in obedience to Him (John 14:15). Love is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and we are called to not only love our “neighbors” but our enemies as well (Matthew 5:43-46). Design by: Sue Henderson © OOOMB |
