Sword of the Lord, The

Bible Verses:

We are told God placed a "flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life” when he drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. The Lord also appeared to Joshua near Jericho (Joshua 5:13-15) in the form of “a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand”.

We are warned that “with fire and with his sword the LORD will execute judgment upon all men, and many will be those slain by the LORD” (Isaiah 66:16). Hebrews 4:12-13 tells us, "For The Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight." Revelation 1:16-18 says, "In His right hand he held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance..."
