Joy

This banner represents brightly coloured ribbons flying free across a blue background. They convey a sense of freedom and lightness, curling and twisting in an effort to express joy. Joy is part of the fruit of the Spirit, yet we are also told that the joy which comes from knowing God as God, My Exceeding Joy gives us strength.

There are six different coloured ribbons because joy can have various expressions. Consider how each of the following words evoke differing and delightful images of joy. Reflect if you will on bliss, celebration, delight, gladness, happiness, rapture and rejoicing.
