‘Strong, fierce and swift as a lion roaring’
Design Description:
The Lion of Judah Roaring portrays the head of a lion with His mouth open in a full-throated roar. The red background represents war. It is a declaration and a warning to His enemies that judgement for unrepented sin is to come. The ferocious lion embodies the tribe of worshipping warriors in full war cry, decreeing the victory before and during the battle. The triumphant Lion is declaring a new phase of His war plan to redeem humanity. Isaiah 38:13, Psalm 7:2. His judgement is described as a lion fierce and swift as a lion in Isaiah 15:9, 31:4 and Hosea 5:14. Whilst there are many different ways that lions are portrayed in Scripture, these banners refer to the images of Jesus as God. The allusions of lions are most often to its majesty and strength, indicative of royalty (Proverbs 30:30), its courage (Proverbs 28:1) and its fierceness (Psalm 22:13).
