Pentecost Fire
Pentecost Fire
‘What seemed to be tongues of fire came to rest on them.’
Design Description:
This banner is designed to represent the Pentecost Fire of Holy Spirit described in Acts chapter 2. When the colour and detailed flames are combined with the movement of the silk, this banner can really look and sound like fire! One of the great significances of Pentecost is that Holy Spirit was released to all who believe. Up until then, Holy Spirit descended on particular people for specific purposes or periods of time. Pentecost was the first corporate in-filling of Holy Spirit for the disciples (Acts chapter 2:1- 4). What an incredible gift we can all receive since that first Pentecost Day! Purpose in the wielding: By God’s Grace, Holy Spirit cleanses our lives; while spending time in God’s presence and Glory, removing things that would legally call for His judgement against us. Heart cries for Pentecost: The banner also reminds us of the fire of His passion for His Bride. Lord take us back to where we started, where we first found love and grace. We need fresh fire! More of Your Love GOD, more of Your power Jesus, send revival, stir up a fire in us, revive us again Holy spirit.
Name of the LORD: Bible Verses: “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2:1-4 NIV In other places in the Bible, Holy Fire is used as an image for the Holiness and cleansing power of the God, burning away the dross to leave refined gold. (Hebrews 10:27; 12:29) It also represents the Glory of God in 2 Thessalonians 1:8 and the power of God in Psalm 104:4 and Hebrews 1:7. It is a symbol of God’s judgement in 2 Kings 1:5-12 and 1 Corinthians 3:13, 15, and judgement to come in Luke 16:24; 2 Thessalonians 1:8 and Revelation 18:8. It was an indicator of God’s presence in the burning bush in Genesis 3:2. In Judges 6:12, in the time when Holy Spirit was not available to all, but was given to certain people for certain tasks, the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, “The Lord is with You Mighty Warrior” and He released His presence to him.
