Holy Fire

This banner is designed to represent the Holy Fire of God. When the colour and pattern of flames are combined with the movement of the silk, this banner can really look and sound like fire! It was the first banner in the Out of Our Minds Banners series and it remains one of our most popular.

Useful in declaration and intercession, it represents the LORD Who sanctifies us - bringing God's holiness and refining power to bear. It also reminds us of the fire of His passion for His Bride.

Our Holy God, through His Holy Spirit, brings by His grace cleansing to our lives. During times in His presence and in His Glory, His Holy Fire cleanses us of those things in our lives that would legally call for His judgement.

Bible Verses:

In the Bible, Holy Fire is used as an image for the holiness and cleansing power of the God, burning away the dross to leave refined gold. (Hebrews 10:27; 12:29) It also represents the Glory of God in 2 Thessalonians 1:8 and the power of God in Psalm 104:4 and Hebrews 1:7.

It is a symbol of God’s judgement in 2 Kings 1:5-12 and 1 Corinthians 3:13, 15, and judgement to come in Luke 16:24; 2 Thessalonians 1:8 and Revelation 18:8. It was an indicator of God’s presence in the burning bush in Genesis 3:2 and Acts 7:30. The Lord’s eyes are described as blazing fire of judgement, searching out evil, in Revelation 1:14; 3:18; 2:18; 10:1; 15:2; 19:12.
