Faith

This colourful silk banner signifies the faith of a believer. Beautifully painted, it depicts a hand reaching from the lower right-hand corner up to grab hold of our “The Promises” banner. The seven-coloured rainbow of "The Promises" banner reflects a full spectrum of colours and reminds us of many God’s promises to His people. Faith allows us to grab hold of these promises and see them come to fruition in our own lives.

Use this banner to declare your faith in every situation, whether for your health, family or finances. As you wave it, recall the promises your God has made to you. Remember faith is "being sure of what we hope for and certain of what de do not see." (Hebrews 11:1).

Bible Verses:

In John 14:12 Jesus told his disciples, "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father". The Bible also tells us we are to live "by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Galatians 3:11 tells us "the righteous will live by faith” and that no one is justified before God by the law. Hebrews 11:6 continues "without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Blue: Authority, From Above (Exodus 24:10; 28:31; 39:22; Numbers 4:6; 15:38; 2 Chronicles 2:7; 3:14; Ezra 1:26; 10:1; John 14:26). God with Us, Holiness, Holy Spirit, Heaven, Our God Is a Holy God, Spiritual or Heavenly Realm, High and Lofty One (Exodus 24:10; Psalm 119:105).

Orange: Fire, Holy Spirit Baptism, Joy of the Lord (Acts 2:2-4; Matthew 3:11)

Yellow: Faith, Glory, God's Faithfulness, Happiness, Joy, Light, Sunshine, (Matthew 17:2; Revelation 1:16; Psalm 84:11) Black: (Escape from) Satan, Death, Mourning, Sin, Famine (Lamentations 4:8; Jeremiah 8:21; Revelation 6:5).

Purple: King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Kingship, Majesty, Royalty, Wealth (Song of Songs 3:10; John 19:2; Judges 8:26; Mark 15:17.
