Miracle Education

Praying for children with special needs in orphanages and schools in FijiMiracle Education is a prayer network that encourages Christians to take responsibility for praying into education. Traditionally the focus of our prayer has been on Australia but in September 2004 the Lord encouraged us to start praying for the South Pacific. In July 2005 that led to our first missions trip to Fiji.

The Lord has gradually increased our understanding regarding the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ to the point where I, as coordinator of Miracle Education, can now declare that the blood of Jesus Christ is the foundation of this prayer network. Using banners as we pray and praise was a natural progression in our understanding of the power of the shed blood of Jesus. The Lord has also asked me to teach children and adults about the blood of Jesus Christ and the banners are an excellent visual aid.

As I teach on the blood of Jesus, I ask my prayer partner who accompanies me to hold up the banner of the blood of Jesus and "hide" behind it. The aspect of "hiding" so she cannot be seen by the audience is significant in the teaching. I relate this "hiding" to the safety that is given to us by the Lord as we "hide" under the power of His blood and therefore cannot be found by Satan. The catch phrase I use is "The password is Šthe blood of Jesus Christ!" I emphasize the truth that is found in Psalm 91, that we are totally protected as long as we declare the power of the blood and submit our lives to its authority.

My prayer partner and I had the privilege of praying for children with special needs in orphanages and schools in Fiji. We were able to wrap the children in the banner of the blood of Jesus and pray for them. We literally saw the peace of God fall upon tormented children once they were wrapped in the banner. One boy even had to be coaxed to let go of the banner as it had become such an anointed cocoon for him!

Children and adults alike appreciated the simplistic way in which the teaching was delivered. The banners as a visual aid not only helped to keep the audience focused but were key in assisting their minds to store vital information and will be a trigger in the future that the Holy Spirit can use to prompt them about the truth of the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
